Luc Verheijen, Saskia Tjepkema and Joeri Kabalt wrote 'Appreciative Inquiry as a Daily Leadership Practice'. A book which underscores the important relational dimension of organizational development and change processes. Hence the subtitle: 'Realizing Change One Conversation at a Time'.

Nach einem Talente-Tag, bei dem die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter eines Veranstaltungsunternehmens über ihre eigenen Talente und die der anderen ins Gespräch kamen, nutzte der Geschäftsführer Stefan Holzporz den Talenteansatz als Motor für einen Umstrukturierungsprozesses im Unternehmen. Ich war neugierig, was genau da passiert ist und wie er im Rückblick den Einsatz von Talenten in Changeprozessen bewertet. Ein Interview.

When the concept of situational leadership was first introduced, it had a major contribution in seeing that successful leadership depends on the leader’s ability to adjust his style to the ‘situation’ – in fact, to the one being led. By that, it made the concept of leadership more flexible – moving beyond the idea of the one-size-fits-all character traits of the successful leader.

Auch, weil wir anderen Ansätzen begegnen, die wir faszinierend und produktiv finden. Das systemische Denken zum Beispiel, weil es anerkennt, dass ‚das System‘ eine eigene Größe ist mit eigenen Regeln. Und in seinem Anspruch, Komplexität zu erfassen. Die Appreciative Inquiry (AI) mit ihrer Grundeinstellung, das wichtig zu machen, was schon geht, mit ihrer Einladung zur Erforschung und zur Neugier. Während wir in unserer Praxis all‘ diese Denkschulen als Inspiration nutzen, sie sogar aktiv mitgestalten, sind wir trotzdem nicht eine systemische oder AI-Beratung.
