Last week colleagues Pieterjan, Remko and Saskia visited colleague Martine for a working visit to Rwanda. One of the activities: Supporting Dieudonné Gakire with the opening of his hub. A place for young and old to meet and learn from and with each other. A community hotspot in the countryside.

'Everything you pay attention to, grows'. Last week Cora Smit, our dear colleague, inspiring mentor and co-founder of our learning company, passed away.

The Appreciative Inquiry Jam is an annual gathering from the Cooperrider Center where AI and OD practitioners can come to revitalize their practice, hear from leading experts in the field, and meet and learn from their peers. Colleagues Luc Verheijen and Saskia Tjepkema are hosting a regional session at this upcoming event.

The AI Practitioner May "Open Issue" highlights voices new and old, with topics ranging from social justice to AI for post-pandemic recovery. To shine a light on these inspiring stories, we are hosting contributing authors to the May AIP issue in our upcoming FREE webinar on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11am ET.

The May issue of AI Practitioner, The International Journal of Appreciative Inquiry, is out. It is an 'open issue' and it reflects how our field of practice and theory is continuously growing and bringing forth new stories.

Two years ago, a large multinational set up an entirely new service aimed at protecting our climate. A group of about 12 people from all over the world pioneered this unique task (you can find that story here). The big question was how to build a learning, largely virtual, community that produces results and in which people can work safely and healthily - within a larger organisation with structures and protocols that are designed for a completely different type of work process. All this, in times of rapid growth. We supported at the kickoff and then stayed on board one day a week to search and build from the inside out and on-the-go.

Appreciative Inquiry is a way to approach larger OD or change processes in organisations, as well...

On April 30th the Taos Institute will organise a webinar 'Dialogue with the Authors - Appreciative Inquiry as Daily Leadership Practice' at 10:00-11.30 AM New York Time (4:00-5:30 PM Amsterdam Time). During the webinar, the authors Saskia Tjepkema, Luc Verheijen and Joeri Kabalt will share some of their favorite stories and anecdotes from the book.

Luc Verheijen, Saskia Tjepkema and Joeri Kabalt wrote 'Appreciative Inquiry as a Daily Leadership Practice'. A book which underscores the important relational dimension of organizational development and change processes. Hence the subtitle: 'Realizing Change One Conversation at a Time'.

We are happy to announce that, as of this year, Kessels & Smit, The Learning Company will work together with the David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry on publishing AI Practitioner - the international quarterly journal on Appreciative Inquiry.
